What started as a high-level tool to give prospective solar customers a primer on the process of adding solar to their homes (using Enphase’s industry-leading microinverter and battery technology, of course) morphed into something closer to a be-all, end-all guide for consumers, at the direction of the company’s CEO. This project was a honker. And a joy to work on. I got to leverage both my experience working for SolarCity and Sungevity combined with my own, um, interesting experience adding solar and storage to my home a few years ago.

Along the way, I worked with several members of the Enphase communications team as well as a host of subject matter experts (SMEs) in everything from financing to energy management technology. So it also became a great learning experience, too. In the end, we created a beautiful tool (designed by Smal) that gives consumers an easy way to navigate learning about an often-complex process.
